Replacing the Windows

One of the first jobs to be tackled was the replacement of all the windows in the house with the exception of the Kitchen window as this will eventually be replaced with a Bi-Fold door out onto the deck. The existing windows I think were the originals and were completely rotted away.

A local company from Aubusson, Herminette did the job. It was a long lead time on the windows but well worth it in the end they did a really good job of them.

All the windows are now replaced and look fantastic. With the attic being insulated with high grade insulation and the new double glazed window units the house is now as thermally protected as we can make it. Here are a few pictures of the new windows in place.
